End of Summer Update, Trailer Theme Release Date, and more FAQs!

Summer is already almost over, but here’s one last hot update! Let’s dive into a few things our team’s been up to for the past month:

• After a well-deserved break, our art team has begun production! Please cheer for our fantastic artists who are back to navigate a whole new journey together. We’ll have some very fun things to show you all in our next update ♥️
   
• We’re excited to announce that the “Every Time We Touch (ft. Dan Avidan) by Jesse Cale" Trailer OST will be sent to all purchasers through your backer survey on Monday, October 2, 2023! We’re closing up on a few administrative tasks that need to be completed for proper distribution, and we’re grateful for your patience.
   
• We’ve released a fun community activity for folks to do while waiting for 2025 to come around faster!
   

Show us which flower best represents your MC with our new Character Flower Template! We love seeing your main character designs, and we’re always excited to check out your beautiful artwork on our hashtag #TouchstarvedGame.

Now that we’ve got our updates out of the way, we’d like to add a small FAQ section to address some common questions we’ve been receiving:

When is the song coming out for backers?

October 2, 2023! All backers who have added the song to their cart, whether that be a standalone purchase or through a bundle, will receive your downloadable file through your Backerkit Survey. You'll be receiving an email from Red Spring Studio when that download is available, so keep your eye on that inbox! 

When can we expect to receive our physical reward items?

We’re on track to send out the first wave of physical rewards Q1 of 2024. However, delays can and do happen, so if that timeframe changes we’ll be sure to keep everyone updated! Our second wave of physical rewards that include artbooks will be sent out sometime in 2026 when our artbook is completed.

I missed purchasing physical rewards from the Kickstarter, is there any way to get merch items?

We are dedicated to fulfilling current backer pledges and we’re unsure if we’ll have any stock remaining for future sales. We’ll let you know if that changes! 

Has Unity’s new pricing announcement changed your development road map?

We’ve made a statement about Unity’s runtime fee here. Our development road map has not changed since Unity’s announcement. If we anticipate any changes due to this distressing situation, we’ll be sure to keep everyone updated. We’re incredibly grateful for all the kind words of support we’ve received from our community regarding this issue!

Surveys Locked, Processing Cards, and Next Steps...

Thanks for taking the time to fill out your backer surveys! The backer survey is now closed. We know it doesn't seem like much, but each survey helps us keep track of *checks notes* 13,302 excited backers!

On Monday, July 24th, Backerkit will assist you with processing your cards for any remaining balance. This remaining balance is reflected on your survey and only includes shipping fees, state sales taxes if you reside in California, and any additional rewards you added to your survey through Backerkit (NOT your original pledge on Kickstarter).

If your card has been properly charged, you'll see a charge from "Red Spring Studio Inc" appear on your bank statement.

Please Note: As we mentioned in our campaign and previous updates, all international backers will be responsible for VAT, duties, and any other foreign customs fees.

What if I forgot to fill out my survey?

You’ll still be able to fill out your survey! However, we cannot guarantee the timely arrival of rewards for late surveys. Delaying your surveys would delay the fulfillment of digital and physical rewards.

What if my card was declined or encountered an error?

If any issues arise with your payment, you’ll receive an email from Backerkit asking you to correct your payment information.

If you need to review your payment information, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting a survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page: https://touchstarved.backerkit.com

Can I update my address?

Yes! You'll have until the end of the year to change your mailing address. We'll provide everyone with an update on when we'll be locking mailing addresses. Until then, please feel free to revisit your survey if you need to update your shipping information.

When can I expect my digital rewards?

We're currently in the process of producing your digital rewards, and we anticipate for the first round to go out around this Fall! We're excited to do more announcements as we get closer to being able to publish these bad boys!

Now that we've sorted out your surveys, our future updates will be pivoting into the journey of TOUCHSTARVED’s development. This means that many of our Kickstarter updates may be locked exclusively to Kickstarter backers. Thank you so much again for being on this adventure with us; we hope you're excited for those exclusive behind-the-scenes updates!

Backer Surveys: One Week Remaining!

We’re back with some reminders!

 Your surveys will close on July 22nd, at 11:59PM PDT (June 23rd, 6:59 AM GMT)

That means you have ONE week left to add rewards. Can we interest you in a dazzling gold enamel pin of your favorite love interest? Or maybe need a lovely digital guidebook to accompany you through the game, our newest addition to the add-on list!

You can add any additional items by accessing the survey link you received previously, or find it through this link here! All orders with physical merchandise will receive 2 complimentary Kickstarter exclusive rewards, an enamel hotel key tag, and the studio's very first Ais illustration as a postcard.

When will cards be charged? 

After your orders are locked on the 22nd your cards will be charged on July 24th for any remaining balance you've added to your survey, such as shipping, taxes, and additional rewards. As with our original Kickstarter, there is a chance that your cards may error out or be declined in the process. Our pledge manager Backerkit will remind you to update your card information to attempt another charge.

Preorder store is open! 

It's been just over a month since we ended our campaign, and we've received many messages from fans who missed out on their chance to back our campaign while it was live!

We completely understand not having the funds at the time, or maybe the timing wasn't right…

We've decided to offer a chance for folks who missed out on the campaign to purchase select merch and even preorder the game!

Our preorder store will open June 9th - July 9th 

You can access the preorder store here! 

We can only offer a smaller selection of items in this store, so you won't find all the add-ons that were listed in our original campaign. We hope you're still excited to add a little charm or a shiny enamel pin to your order!

The Digital Guidebook is a downloadable PDF walkthrough for the five main routes of TOUCHSTARVED detailing how to unlock all endings and illustrations. If you're a completionist, or you just want to see every. single. one. of your favorite love interest's illustrations, this add-on item is now available on your surveys! 

You can add the item to your cart by going back to your BackerKit survey. Remember that you can access your survey at any time until July 22nd to add extra items, or change any items that you've added on BackerKit!
